Our Origin
17 Days of Fashion = Community, Charity and Couture.
Community, means getting everyone involved. All are welcomed to the events and are encouraged to attend. Many of our events are free for everyone. You do not need to be an A-List celebrity or a size 2 to participate in fashion; these events are about uniting us all through the thread of fashion.
Charity is about giving back to the community that supports these talented designers and artists. Each year 17…Days of Fashion selects a deserving organization to aid. A portion of money received from ticket sales and other donations are then generously given to a worthy group selected by the PFC. Giving back is our way of thanking the community for allowing us to be true to our craft and express our vision.
Couture means being original, innovative, and unique. Through our variety of events, there is never a lack of creativity. We want to display and promote the latest in women’s wear, men’s fashion, and children’s designs. We also cater to a wide range of sizes, tastes, and styles. We not only want to show fashion but talk fashion too. There are fashion education focused workshops and forums included in the week’s events lead by industry veterans. We provide a space for all to learn and grow in this business.
Through the 3 C’s we promote community, charity, and couture and it is present in everything that we do. We believe in this principle and strive to incorporate this stance in every garment, publication, and production.
